Air Source Heat Pumps
Here at Total Floor Heating we are proud of the wide range of products we incorporate to give you not only the prefect professional system but also a very completive price.
For certain projects which are unsuitable for Geothermal heating, Total Floor Heating supply and install high efficiency Air-to-Water Heat Pump systems. Savings of up to 50% are possible versus oil and gas and combined with radiators or fan convectors an air-to-water heat pump provides a perfect solution for retrofit projects.
All the domestic air-to-water heat pumps supplied by Total Floor Heating come complete with an inverter driven compressor and so it can increase or decrease their power depending on the heat requirements. Therefore there is no need for expensive buffer vessels. The Waterkotte Ai1QL can also operate at full output down to -15oC and can even produce hot water at 60oC (50oC at -15oC), ensuring your heating system is operational, even on the coldest days.
We can supply and install any of the Mitsubishi ECODAN range Air Source heat pumps
Our domestic range of Mitsubishi Ecodan Heat Pumps (5kw, 14kw, & 8.5kw)
Our Ingenious Mitsubishi Ecodan:
The Mitsubishi Ecodan air-to-water unit contain new high efficiency, inverter driven compressors, designed specifically for heat pumps. The compressor features more extended operating ranges, making it possible to run the heat pump in harsh conditions. Overall these heat pumps have a COP up to 20% greater than traditional air-to-water heat pumps.
The large surface area of the heat exchangers means that, since the required fan speeds are lower than with other air source heat pumps, this unit is very low noise. Additionally, the heat pump is fitted on anti-vibration mounts, reducing structure borne noise.
The unit is designed for use down to -15ºC, with water produced at 50ºC, or -5ºC, with water produced at 60ºC. The heat pumps are available in 3 sizes designed for domestic use, with heating capacities of 5, 8.5 and 14kW.
We supply Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pumps with the following features:
·Inverter driven for efficiency and less current on start-up
·Control panel, including a remote monitoring feature
·Anti-vibration mount
·Stainless steel heat exchangers and blades to reduce corrosion
The control system includes weather compensation, allowing the water set-point to be adjusted based on the outdoor air temperature and the building heat requirement. This provides optimal comfort throughout the year and maximises the efficiency of your heating system
