In its simplest form a heating system is a combination of space heating and hot water.
Space Heating is normally provided by pumping hot water through a system of radiators or fan assisted convectors or the rapidly increasing method underfloor heating.
Hot Water is normally provided by a combination boiler or vented or un-vented hot water cylinder or Thermal Store cylinder
Our technical staff have many years experience in all aspects of space heating and hot water systems and have used this vast experience in the design of our floor heating and the integration of them into new and existing heating and hot water systems.
Floor heating can be added to an existing radiator system or can be used in a new system as total underfloor heating or as a mixed system with radiators etc. We can provide you with all the necessary plumbing and electrical schematics for integration of these systems.
Hot water can be simply integrated into the heating by using our high quality stainless steel thermalstore cylinders they will provide space heating and clean fresh hot water at mains pressure from a single point. This will save money on plumbing costs as you will only require one flow and return to serve both heating and hot water and it will provide pressure showering without the need for expensive pumps.
Secondary Heat Source. Our thermalstore cylindersalso allow for the easy integration of a secondary heat source such as a wood burning or multifuel stove or cooker. The main Gas or oil fired boiler will only be called on by the thermostat on the thermalstore if the secondary heat source can’t cope with the heating/hot water demand.
Solar Energy -Our thermalstore cylinders are supplied complete with a solar coil plus closed pockets for insertion of the solar sensors required for the installation of a solar system.
These coils will allow the easy connection of solar collectors at the time of installing the cylinder or at any time in the future without the need to change the cylinder as you would if a non solar ready cylinder was installed. As with the other secondary heat source the main boiler would only be only be called on by the cylinder thermostat if the heat generated by the solar collectors doesn’t meet the heating /hot water load.
With this type of installation solar gain will contribute to space heating as well as hot water production.
Heat Pumps As suppliers and registered installers of heat pumps we are experienced in integrating heat pump technology into our floor heating and will provide you with all necessary drawings and schematics to integrate a heat pump into our floor heating system whether you purchase the heat pump from us or not.
